READ OUR SAFE TICKET BUYING GUIDE IF YOU’RE LOOKING TO BUY INTERNATIONAL MATCH DAY TICKETS TO THE KIA OVAL
Tickets for International cricket matches at the Kia Oval are in high demand. Unfortunately, with such high interest and with so many fans keen to see their favourite players live, demand often outstrips supply. Regrettably, this can mean that some of our tickets find their way on to third party re-sale sites where fans can be charged extortionate prices by unscrupulous sellers. In many incidents, these agents have been known to sell forged or cancelled tickets.
Tickets bought and sold from or by an unauthorised agent/individual have broken our Terms & Conditions and may have already been cancelled. Buying from an unauthorised source – either online, on a re-sale site or in person – could leave you out of pocket and unable to enter the ground. Do not take the risk!
WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT TOUTING?
The Kia Oval is against ticket touting, and is committed to eradicating it wherever possible. We have a duty to ensure that, where we can, we protect fans from touts. To do this we regularly monitor online auction and ticket re-sale sites, and will cancel tickets in breach of our terms and conditions.
Tickets that are sold-on or transferred in breach of our ticket conditions may be cancelled and the ticket holder risks being refused entry into the ground. We take prompt action to prevent touted tickets being used at our venue and reserve the right to request verification of identity and source of purchase upon entry at the ground.
We work closely with major law enforcement organisations including Fraud Offices, the Met Police and trading standards in order to identify and tackle agents selling voided tickets.
Identified touts WILL be blacklisted from the Kia Oval and their information may be passed to other sporting grounds.
Unfortunately, unlike other sports, it is not yet a criminal offence to resell cricket tickets. However, re-selling at inflated prices does void our terms and conditions which renders touted tickets worthless.
The Kia Oval, along with the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB), is dedicated in tackling ticket touting however we can and has previously lobbied government to introduce legislation to help stamp it out
HOW DO I AVOID RE-SALE SITES?
You can guarantee that you are obtaining genuine tickets by buying directly from the Kia Oval ticket office either at the ground, online or through our operators on 0844 375 1845. This ensures that you are buying genuine tickets at the correct price. Calls to this number cost 7p per minute plus your phone company’s access charge
However, should you find that you are not on the Kia Oval website you should look out for the following signs that a site may be unauthorised:
a) Heavily inflated prices
b) Exact location of tickets not supplied – instead statements such as ‘together’ or ‘good view’
c) Huge variances between the prices offered
Just because a website is showing some/all/none of the above does not mean that it is or is not authorised. If you are in any doubt, you should always check with our ticket office before purchasing the tickets as tickets purchased from these sites are never guaranteed and are often void.
WHAT IF I CAN’T ATTEND A GAME?
Should you not be able to attend game which you purchased tickets for at the Kia Oval, the ticket office is pleased to confirm that our on-line Ticket Exchange will be open for all sold out International fixtures. This facility allows the original ticket purchaser, who bought during the original ticket sale, the opportunity to make their seat(s) available for other supporters who have missed the opportunity to attend
